Developmental Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship
Training tomorrow’s specialists, caring for children today
1 in 68 children is estimated to have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a group of developmental disabilities that cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges. ASDs cut across all lines of race, class, and ethnicity, and place significantly stressful demands on families already grappling with a variety of social, financial, and other daily challenges. Our 3-year Fellowship program trains board certified pediatricians to care for children with special needs such as autism, intellectual disabilities, language and learning disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other behavioral/developmental disorders.
Effective early treatment is necessary for favorable long-term outcomes, and the overall well-being of the child.
